Westbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed this weekend in Scottsdale

Loop 101 westbound will be closed between Pima Road/Princess Drive and Scottsdale Road from 10 p.m. Friday, March 22 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 25 for placement of a temporary barrier and lane-stripe adjustments as part of a freeway widening project.

Expect heavy traffic and use alternate routes.

DETOUR: Alternate routes include (1) taking westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and re-entering the freeway at Scottsdale Road, 56th Street, Tatum Boulevard or State Route 51; and (2) exiting Pima Road/Princess Drive, traveling north on Pima Road, west on Thompson Peak Parkway and south on Scottsdale Road to re-enter Loop 101.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project to widen and improve the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) from Interstate 17 in Phoenix east to Pima Road in Scottsdale.
