Volunteers needed for Habitat at the Ranch

| Elizabeth Dankert

In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona, DC Ranch invites residents to roll up their sleeves and show their community spirit at Habitat at the Ranch.

Residents will choose to build on Friday (March 2) or Saturday (March 3) to help erect the frame of a house, build shelves, benches, birdhouses and other construction projects in the parking lot of The Homestead Community Center.

No prior construction experience necessary; tasks include everything from painting to more skilled work like drilling. Habitat construction crew leaders will teach and assist residents with each job.
Volunteers ages 8 and older are welcome. Children spots are limited and anyone under the age of 8 are not permitted on build site.

Immediately following the morning build on Saturday, all participants will be treated to a special “wall-raising” for a chance to sign the wall and celebrate their hard work and dedication.
Friday participants are welcome to join the celebration on Saturday.

Together, DC Ranch will have a lasting impact on a family in need as it celebrates a milestone 20th anniversary!
