There were drinks and snacks, including cookies and cupcakes, thoroughly enjoyed by some delighted children.

The playground construction began in November. The sand was removed and replaced with a solid rubberized surface. The new shaded playground has play zones for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. There are slides, a tunnel, mountain stairs and plenty of features where children can swing, bounce, spin and climb.

Children can also exercise their minds by playing a Tic-tac-toe game, a matching game and pretending to fly an airplane.

The existing play equipment that was in the wash was removed with the exception of DC Ranch’s signature John Deere tractor.

A playground is more than a place to jump, climb and swing. Outdoor play areas help children develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. This new playground will provide DC Ranch children with a place to grow, play and thrive together.

This newly designed playground will provide great experiences and fond memories for DC Ranch families for many years to come.
