About the speaker: Jaime Parker, Ph.D. has been a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor for over 25 years as well as an educator in both elementary and university classrooms. She also holds certificates in Nutrition Fundamentals and Holistic Fitness. As an adolescent, Jaime was diagnosed with severe scoliosis, which restricted her mobility, negatively affected her self-esteem, and challenged her mentally and physically in many ways. As an adult, she’s found joy in exercising, specifically running, which helped strengthen her back and entire well-being, and helped her lose more than 50 pounds of extra weight. She is now an accomplished endurance athlete, finishing 50 full marathons (including multiple Boston marathons) and more than 300 other races of varying distances.
