Rider safety is of the utmost importance to the event producers and officials. The decision to cancel was due to adverse roadway conditions in sections of the course from the recent rain and the high probability of thunderstorms for Sunday, Oct. 7. Attempts were made to reschedule the event, but due to the logistical support necessary this could not be done in a timely manner.
DC Ranch appreciates the attempt from the municipalities and county agencies to clear the roads this week and their cooperation. We also thank all of the riders and volunteers for their patience as we work through these unprecedented weather situations.
