Did you know the desert can produce great wine? Hear the story of how local winemaker Curt Dunham, owner of Lawrence Dunham Vineyards (LDV), and his wife, Peggy Fiandaca, traveled to the world’s top wine regions studying how to turn grapes into wine.
You’ll be inspired by the story of how the couple bought five acres to pursue a passion of winemaking, and turned it into a successful and award-winning enterprise.
LDV produces a lineup made entirely from fruit grown at its vineyard in southeastern Arizona, which is uncommon in the desert. Learn firsthand how the wine reflects the Arizona personality that has been vital to LDV’s success.
At this adults only, residents will have the opportunity mingle and sample LDV wines beginning at 6 p.m. The speaker series begins at 6:30 p.m.

LDV is an estate vineyard and winery established in 2008 located in the Chiricahua Mountains in southeastern Arizona (approximately 3.5 hours from Scottsdale). All grapes grown are used to produce LDV award-winning wines. The vineyard is at 5,000 feet elevation and the wines are a reflection of this high mountain fruit. LDV grows and produces Rhone-varietals – Viognier, Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Syrah – and focuses on single varietal wines; though it showcases some very popular blends too. Experience an LDV wine tasting at their showroom in downtown Scottsdale. Learn more at ldvwinery.com.
