Arizona native Cristina Beloud retired from the Secret Service as Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Secret Service Phoenix Field Office in January 2019. She served in many assignments. Among them as a supervisor with the Presidential Protective Division under President George W. Bush, earning a “Distinguished Service Award” following the September 11, 2001 attacks. She held additional protective assignments with the Vice Presidential Protective Division under Vice President Dick Cheney, and the Reagan Protective Division with former President Ronald Reagan. Beloud will share the story of her 25-year Secret Service career – including being on scene following the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, how she became supervisor of the protective division and lessons learned about overcoming the odds in a male-dominated line of work. She will also speak about the journey of her life and the new chapter in her career with Amazon.
