Barre lessons in January and March: While barre has its origins in ballet, no dance experience is needed and all levels of fitness experience are welcome in this class. Alternating between standing at the barre and mat-based exercises, this barre class consists of low impact/high repetition movements, with small isometric exercises to sculpt your arms, abdominals, and legs.
Pilates in February and April: This low-impact class incorporates all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility. The mat floor exercises may also be combined with other props such as weights, balls and resistance bands to help build, sculpt and tone the abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. Pilates aids in flexibility and improving posture, as stretching your body is a vital part of class.
Registration opens the month prior to each class.
