Mindful Movement is back by popular demand for the month of October. This new class combines the ancient practices of Tai Chi (“tie chee”), and Qigong (“chee-gong”) with easy-to-learn mind-body practices that use slow movements with controlled breathing techniques to reduce stress, promote healing, improve your balance and help you sleep better.
During this series you will learn how to apply energy-based mind-body stress reduction practices in common stressful situations. Residents will receive handouts to apply these concepts at home.
Mindful Movement is safe for all ages and physical abilities. Each class is geared to the particular needs of residents with the goal of using movements and breathing to create an experience of healing and inner peace – physically, emotionally and spiritually. No special clothing is required. Bring an open mind and a willing spirit.
