2021 Community Council Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is an advisory committee that works in conjunction with Council staff to provide guidance and counsel to the Board on financial and related members. The committee consists of three to five residents with experience in finance or a finance-related field. Members will serve two-year, staggered terms that begin in July. The committee meets quarterly, with special meetings as needed.

In addition, please provide at least two references that we may contact regarding your qualifications as a potential committee member.

  • Please share insight regarding your desire to serve on the Community Council Finance Committees. Feel free to share any information you feel is pertinent, taking particular care to address the following areas:


  • • The Finance Committee provides advice to the Council’s Board of Directors in four main areas: reviewing financial statements, selecting auditors and reviewing audits, reviewing/recommending financial and investment policies, and attending the Board’s budget meetings. Please describe your experience in these fields, or similar areas.
  • • The Committee will be comprised of members with expertise in banking, investments, public accounting, CPA/Finance Director experience, insurance, or other finance related fields. Please share your history in these areas.
  • • Please explain your experience working on other boards/groups/teams.
