Homestead Celebration

Desert Camp invites the community to our annual Homestead Celebration commemorating the history of DC Ranch with two weeks of back-to-back events. The celebration features our annual Founder's Day event, an afternoon reminiscent of the old west, including great food, western style games and a live petting zoo. Past Homestead Celebration activities have included a trolley party to local restaurants, a Super Bowl game night, a father/daughter dance, and a mother/son bowling night.

SPRING

Desert Bloom Celebration

The annual Desert Bloom Celebration brings the community together to kick off the spring season! Highlighting this celebration is the signature Eggstravaganza event, which gives families a great opportunity to gather and paint eggs, compete in a raw egg drop and search for glow-in-the-dark eggs in our nighttime egg hunt. Other events featured during the Desert Bloom Celebration include Irish fare and beer sampling on St. Patrick's Day, spring training day at the ballpark, and a tennis doubles spring social.

Community Spring Sale

The public is welcome to attend this community-wide sale hosted by DC Ranch residents who sell household items, clothing, sporting goods and much more in their front yards. Shoppers must sign in at the Desert Camp Community Center to receive a map identifying homes participating in the sale. Proceeds from this "spring cleaning" event are donated to charity.

SUMMER

Father's Day Event

Each year, Desert Camp hosts a Father's Day Event filled with activities and all around good times with Dad for the resident's enjoyment.

Dive-In-Movies

Throughout the summer community members and their family are invited to "dive in" to the Desert Camp community center pool and watch a family movie on the big outdoor screen.

Fourth of July Event

Dazzling fireworks and a world-class musical performance featuring The Symphony of the West Valley delight DC Ranch residents and Country Club members gathered to celebrate our country's independence at The Country Club at DC Ranch. This holiday celebration includes activities for all ages. A gourmet picnic kicks off the event as children enjoy face painting, refreshing water play, music and bounce tents. A spectacular fireworks display, set to music by the symphony is the highlight of the evening.

Luau

The Desert Camp Luau brings DC Ranch residents a taste of the Pacific Islands right here in the desert. This popular event has something for everyone with activities ranging from limbo contests to a pig roast and lots of hula dancing.

FALL

Passport (International Celebration Day)

Each year Desert Camp brings a foreign country right to our own backyard. The Passport event allows residents to experience an international culture through authentic foods, entertainment and decoration. Past events have included "Moroccan Nights" complete with live camels and Moroccan dancers, and "Passport to Japan" with everything from sushi to sumo wrestlers.

Autumn Days, Fall Nights Celebration

The autumn season comes alive with a colorful array of events. This celebration includes a spooky Halloween carnival and maze, an evening of hayrides and tall tales, and a family pumpkin carving night. The highlight of the Autumn Days, Fall Nights Celebration is the DC Ranch resident's overnight family campout.

Community Thanksgiving Meal

The DC Ranch community Thanksgiving Meal brings residents together to give thanks on the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving, allowing neighbors to celebrate with each other before traveling to see their families for the holiday.

Caroling & Cookie Exchange

DC Ranch residents kick off the holiday season with an evening of neighborhood caroling which ends back at Desert Camp with a cookie exchange.
