DC Ranch Traditions
The DC Ranch Community Council is pleased to offer several special community events throughout the year. The following are a list of our signature family-friendly community celebrations:

  • Founders Day, which celebrates DC Ranch’s history and heritage.
  • Eggstravaganza, offers a traditional egg hunt and activities that celebrate spring.
  • Paws in the Park, an opportunity to celebrate four-legged friends.
  • Passport , where participants “travel” to a destination to experience the culture and traditions of the featured country.
  • Spooky Carnival and Haunted Maze, offers Halloween-themed fun and games.
  • Community Thanksgiving, a gathering of neighbors who share a table in honor of the fall holiday.
  • Homestead for the Holidays Pancake Breakfast, a pajama party with activities and brunch.

DC Ranch Public Events
DC Ranch also hosts two annual public events, which each benefit a local organization and draw attention to DC Ranch’s cherished values such as a sense of community, family, healthy lifestyles, environmental stewardship and a relationship with the larger community.

  • The Run for Ryan House at DC Ranch, held in the spring, launches from Market Street. The run course winds through DC Ranch. Every stride benefits Ryan House, the first freestanding facility in the Southwest that provides palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions and respite and support services for their families in a home-like setting.

  • The Tour de Scottsdale launches from Market Street the first Sunday in October. The 70-mile bicycling event winds through Scottsdale, Phoenix, Cave Creek, Carefree, and Fountain Hills. Every mile benefits the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to stewardship of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. MSC envisions the Preserve at completion to be 36,400-acre (or 57-square mile), protecting as natural, open space nearly one-third of Scottsdale’s 185 square miles.
