The DC Ranch Community Council is a proud sponsor of Workshops for Youth and Families -- or "Workshop" as it is affectionately known -- a Scottsdale-based organization whose mission is to foster personal leadership and resiliency through programs that inspire positive growth and change.

Led by co-founder and Program Director Frances Mills-Yerger, Ph.D., or "Dr. Franny," Workshops offer a hands-on personal approach to learning life skills. With the help of Peer Leaders, Dr. Franny uses interactive activities, games, group discussion, and presentations in Workshops, which consist of week-long summer programs and one-day sessions during the spring and fall. Workshops are held at The Homestead Community Center in DC Ranch.

In the more than 30 years of its existence, more than 20,000 tweens and teens have been impacted by Workshops for Youth and Families.
