DC Ranch Food Circle

	As the saying goes, “Waste not, want not.” DC Ranch resident Karen Ginsburg has turned the axiom into action with the DC Ranch Food Circle. The idea for Food Circle is simple. Residents who are moving or going on vacation and would otherwise be throwing away household and food items, including frozen food, can donate the goods instead. Every Friday, Ginsburg delivers items collected from the DC Ranch community to the Foothills Food Bank in Cave Creek. Items accepted as donations also include frozen food and unopened non-perishable food. Household goods such as plastic wrap, utensils, and detergents are welcome. Paper goods such as paper towels and toilet paper and baby items are much needed. Items can be taken to Desert Camp Community Center or to Ginsburg’s home. Ginsburg will also retrieve items from your residence. The project is one that emulates the ideals that the DC Ranch Community Council seeks to instill in its efforts to build community and enable philanthropy. Do good. Feel good.
